Free diagnosis & written quote
A technician tests your Mac, finds the cause and sends you a price and timeline. You decide whether to go ahead.
Repaired, tested, warrantied
We repair it in our shop, test the display, battery, keyboard, ports and wireless, and text you when it’s ready.
Good to know before your Mac repair
Back up first if you can
On most Macs made since 2018, storage is built into the logic board and can’t be removed. If the board fails, data recovery is much harder. If your Mac still turns on, back it up with Time Machine or iCloud before you bring it in. If it doesn’t, tell us, and we’ll put your data first.
Bring your login details
We need your Mac’s login password to test it after the repair. Know your Apple Account password too, in case Find My or Activation Lock needs to be checked. We never save it after a repair.
Spilled something? Act fast
Shut the Mac down, unplug it and don’t try to charge it. Corrosion keeps spreading on the circuit boards and electrical connections inside, so the sooner we clean it, the better the odds. Skip the rice – it’s a myth!

Mac repair FAQs
How much does MacBook repair cost in St. George?
It depends on the model and the repair. Battery and software jobs cost much less than screens or logic board work. Starting prices are listed above, and you get an exact written quote after a free diagnosis.
How long does a Mac repair take?
With the part in stock, a MacBook battery usually takes about 24 hours from check-in, and a virus or malware cleanup is done within 1 business day. Screens and board-level repairs depend on parts availability. Our repair queue can affect timing, so we give you an estimate at check-in and keep you updated until your Mac is ready.
Will I lose my data?
Most hardware repairs, like batteries, keyboards and screens, don’t touch your files. Board repairs and macOS reinstalls can put data at risk, so back up first if your Mac still turns on. If it doesn’t, tell us and we’ll make recovering your data the first priority.
Is it worth repairing my Mac or should I buy a new one?
If the repair costs a large share of what the Mac is worth, or the model no longer gets macOS updates, replacing it may make more sense. We’ll give you an honest recommendation either way, and we can move your data to a new Mac if you upgrade.
What kind of parts do you use?
You choose. We offer genuine Apple parts when they’re available. Otherwise we use OEM pulls (original parts taken from other Macs) or high-quality aftermarket parts. We explain the price and warranty difference for each option before we start.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm. Requesting a quote first lets us check parts before you arrive.
Is Tech Pros an Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider?
No. Tech Pros is an independent repair shop and isn’t affiliated with Apple Inc. Independent repair is often faster and less expensive. If your Mac is under AppleCare+ or Apple’s warranty, check your coverage first, since repair by an independent shop may affect it.
