How computer repair works

Walk in or request a quote

Bring your computer to 245 Red Cliffs Dr #20, Mon–Fri, 10am–6pm, or request a quote online first.

Free diagnosis & written quote

We find the cause, explain your parts options and give you a written price and time estimate. Nothing is repaired until you approve.

Repaired, tested, ready

We test the screen, keyboard, battery, charging, ports and Wi-Fi before you pick up. If our queue is busy, we tell you up front and keep you posted.

Good to know before your computer repair

Back up what matters

On most Macs made since 2018, and on many thin Windows laptops, storage is built into the main board. If the board fails, recovery gets much harder. If your computer still turns on, back it up first. If it doesn’t, tell us and we’ll put your data first.

Bring your charger & password

Bring the charger so we can test charging, and your login password so we can test everything after the repair.

Still on Windows 10?

Microsoft ended Windows 10 support in October 2025, so it no longer gets security updates. We can check whether your PC can run Windows 11, upgrade it, or move your files to a new computer.

Computer repair FAQs

What brands of computers do you repair?

Every make and model: Apple MacBook, iMac and Mac mini; Windows PCs from HP, Dell, Lenovo, Asus, Acer, MSI, Microsoft Surface and custom builds; and Chromebooks from every brand.

How long does a computer repair take?

With the part in stock, a laptop battery replacement takes about 24 hours and a virus cleanup is done within 1 business day. Screens and board-level repairs depend on parts. Our repair queue can affect timing, so we give you an estimate at check-in and keep you updated.

Will I lose my files?

Virus cleanups and most hardware repairs leave your files in place. Board repairs and system reinstalls can put data at risk, so we always tell you first and back up your files when needed.

Is it worth repairing an older computer?

Often, yes. A new battery and an SSD upgrade can make an older laptop feel new for far less than a replacement. If it isn’t worth it, we’ll tell you honestly and can move your files to a new computer.

Can you recover data from a computer that won’t turn on?

Often, yes. We diagnose the problem for free and give you a quote for data recovery before any work. Older computers with removable drives are usually easier to recover than newer models with built-in storage.

Do you make house calls?

Yes. We offer in-home service up to 50 minutes from our St. George shop at $125 per hour with a $100 minimum. Travel is free within 10 miles of the shop, $50 for 10–25 miles and $100 beyond 25 miles. We fix computers and set up new computers, Wi-Fi and networks, printers and backups.

Do you work with small businesses?

Yes. We service small businesses on-site at $200 per hour: computer repair, new computer setup, network and Wi-Fi setup, printers and backups. Travel fees are the same as for home visits. Call (435) 525-6566 to schedule.

Do I need an appointment for in-shop repair?

No. Walk-ins are welcome Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm. Requesting a quote first lets us check parts before you arrive.

What warranty comes with the repair?

When we install new parts (other than OEM parts), the repair carries a lifetime warranty against defects. All other repairs, including genuine and OEM parts, carry a 1-year warranty on parts and labor. Breakage and liquid damage aren’t covered. Read the full warranty policy.
