Our story
Tech Pros opened in St. George in April 2019 with a simple goal: give Southern Utah a repair shop that fixes things right, explains things plainly and charges fairly. The tech devices each of us lives with daily have become essential – and being without makes life difficult. We aim to keep that frustration to a minimum.
We focus on the following:
1 – PROTECT: Offer a comprehensive protection plan, at a fair price so that our customers never need to pay full price for repairs or replacements.
2 – REPAIR: Get each customer back to what they want and need to do by repairing quickly, completely – and at a fair price.
3 – REPLACE: When repairing isn’t possible, or the repair price is inappropriate to the value, we’ll recommend a replacement, order it for you and get it set up. Data transfers, photos, accounts, etc.
Today we repair everything from cracked iPhone and Samsung screens and batteries, to PC and Apple MacBook computer screens, batteries and upgrades, to PlayStation and Xbox HDMI ports.
That last one takes micro-soldering most shops won’t attempt, and we’re the best priced shop within 100 miles of St. George that does it.
We’re independent. We aren’t a franchise, and we aren’t restricted by policies from Apple, Samsung, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, or others. That means the person who quotes your repair works in the same shop as the person who does it.
Meet the owner

Heman Smith, Owner
My tech background began with a love for the PC as I attended BYU in the early 1980s. I’ve owned my own tech business 3 times, and have been an IT executive for several large tech companies in between. I finished up my regular career as a consultant on a special advisory team at VMWare, guiding other IT executives on their cloud technology decisions and high-performance teams.
How we work
These are the commitments behind every repair. They’re also the answers to the questions customers ask us most.
Quote before we touch it
Diagnosis is free. You get a written price and timeline, and nothing is repaired until you approve it. No hidden fees.
You choose the parts
We offer genuine Apple parts when they’re available. Otherwise we use OEM pulls (original parts from other devices) or high-quality aftermarket parts. We explain the price and warranty difference so you can decide.
A warranty in plain English
When we install new parts (other than OEM parts), the repair carries a lifetime warranty against defects. Every other repair, including OEM parts, carries 1 year on parts and labor. Breakage and liquid damage aren’t covered. Full policy.
Honest timelines
With the part in stock, phone screens and batteries usually take 2–4 hours, laptop batteries about 24 hours, virus cleanups within 1 business day and console HDMI ports about 2 business days. If our queue is busy, we tell you up front and keep you updated.
Repaired in our shop
Most repairs happen on our own bench in St. George instead of being mailed away, so your device and your data stay local.
Straight answers
If a repair isn’t worth the money, we’ll tell you, and we can help move your data to a new device instead.
What we repair
- Cell phones: iPhone, Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel and other Android phones
- Computers: Windows laptops and desktops, MacBook, iMac and Mac mini
- iPads & tablets: glass, displays, batteries and charging ports
- Game consoles: PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, including HDMI and charge ports
- Apple Watch and other personal electronics
What we don’t repair
We don’t repair household appliances or TV screens. For those, we recommend a dedicated appliance or TV repair service.
